Listing criteria
OSS Eligibility Criteria
Requirements for adding your open source project to ossium.in. Meet these guidelines and submit your project for review.
Criterion 1
Open Source License
Your project must have a valid open source license.
- Approved OSI (Open Source Initiative) license
- Clear LICENSE file in repository root
- Examples: MIT, Apache 2.0, GPL, BSD
Criterion 2
Active Development
Project should show signs of active maintenance.
- Recent commits (within last 6 months)
- Active issue/PR management
- Responsive to community contributions
Criterion 3
Documentation
Proper documentation helps users understand your project.
- Comprehensive README.md file
- Installation and usage instructions
- Contributing guidelines (optional but recommended)
Criterion 4
Public Repository
Project must be publicly accessible.
- Hosted on GitHub
- Public visibility (not private)
- Minimum 17 stars on GitHub
- No restricted access requirements
Criterion 5
Code Quality
Maintain good coding standards.
- Clean, readable code structure
- No malicious or harmful code
- Follows best practices for the language/framework
Criterion 6
Community Value
Project should provide value to the community.
- Solves a real problem or need
- Unique or improved solution
- Not a simple tutorial or learning project
Additional notes
- Projects must adhere to community standards and codes of conduct
- Logo, name, and banner must not contain offensive or inappropriate content
- Projects must remain open source even after being listed on ossium.in
- Only main projects with proper icons will be considered
